Cyber Nexus

A small game’s developed for 3 months at GSU

"Cyber Nexus" unfolds as an intense 3D third-person adventure, allowing players to traverse through the dark, chaotic realms of a dystopian future. Take on the role of Alex Solis, a fierce cyber infiltrator, embarking on a relentless quest fueled by revenge, strategy, and a pursuit of the truth amidst the overbearing shadows of corrupt mega-corporations.

What I Learn:

  • Optimization using: GPU visualizer, lighting, LOD, etc.

  • Post processing.

  • Blueprint.

  • More feature about Unreal Engine: Modeling Mode, Debugging Tool, AI Sensor, Physica

Level Design

With the intension of storytelling, the level is designed to be a linear flow level. What I learn for level design in this project:

  • The power of Post Processing.

  • Stealth Element for level design

  • Post Process & Lighting manipulating.

Blueprint

Still a novice in blueprint, yet from this project I learn a lot about how blueprint works and connect with other features.

Optimization

As the project progress, the performance is decreasing due to too many lightings, texture overflow, and a lot of static mesh with high polygon. Using the debug tool such as: GPU Visualizer.
